I had my daughter do this with all of her grandparents, great-grandparents and one great-great-grandmother, a few years ago. She wrote out a list of questions for them, about their childhood, typed them up, and sent them out. She has these amazing response letters from family members that range in age from 52-91! She is planning to write some more this year to send out. The letters have become something we all treasure. It is amazing the changes that have taken place in so few generations. You can see a shift in things, one of which is food culture after the advent of the grocery store. I love this idea.
We just did this last week! It was a great experience.
