This is so true. I remind myself to trust them and have confidence in their abilities. But then I wonder what the EMS responder will say when I tell them what I was thinking.
I know. When my kids were little, their legs were so bruised up from playing outside and hiking and adventuring. I hated taking them to the doctor, because I thought she would want to know what was going on. We have had our share of trips to the ER - but so far nothing too serious. It is hard to encourage and protect them at the same time!
I know exactly how you feel - was walking home from work the other day when I heard an ambulance in the distance. All I could think was 'they've done it - they've fallen out of the trees.' Was panic-stricken the rest of the way home where I found them safe and sound! But I don't discourage them from climbing either - so tough!
Please leave a comment! I love to hear from you!
