{giveaway} Celebrations of Light :: A Wintertime Family eGuide

Today, I am so excited to offer a giveaway to YOU.

I am offering a copy of Celebrations of Light:: A Wintertime Family eGuide edited by Liz from A Natural Nester

This guide is nearly 40 pages full of rituals, crafts, recipes and inspiration. I love, love, love that it focuses on the smaller holidays of the season like advent, solstice, St. Nicholas Day, St. Lucia Day, and New Years. There is plenty here to help you expand your season and begin to explore and add new traditions to your family's holiday.

Check out a few sample pages of this beautiful guide and then enter by leaving a comment about YOUR favorite holiday tradition. That is it!

I will pick a winner on Wednesday. Good luck!

You can also order a copy by clicking on the icon on the side bar.

  1. How lovely! This looks like a great way to start new family traditions! My favorite tradition is a fairly new one for us. We don't give lots of gifts anymore. Instead we try to spend time together and to celebrate the holidays with love rather than stuff!

  3. this looks wonderful!!! My favorite tradition is getting bundled up as a kid and taking a car ride around the neighborhood looking for Christmas lights. It was always a fun night with my whole family, cuddled up listening to Christmas tunes and seeing the lovely lights our neighbors put up.

  4. What a beautiful collection of ideas!
One of our favorite traditions is celebrating the Winter Solstice- creating bird feeders, measuring our shadows to compare to the Summer Solstice, snuggling up with hot chocolate and telling stories with candles lighting our night.

  5. We are still evolving with our traditions but my favorite is creating our advent calendar. We come up with a list of activities mostly centered on giving and spreading the joy and light in the season and practice one every day in December. It's a little bit of holiday cheer worked into the madness of our day!

  6. My favorite holiday tradition is my parents' Hanukkah party - we eat TONS of food, play with dreidels, break a pinata, light the candles and generally spend quality time with all the cousins and extended family. My mother thought one year she wouldn't have it because she thought maybe the "kids" were too old now (since when is 30 too old?) and there was a general uprising.

  8. That looks like a lovely e-book. I'm particularly interested in the Solstice traditions.
We're only just creating holiday traditions, but my favourite is making and decorating gingerbread cookies with the children.

  9. What a gorgeous looking book. We don't really celebrate any holidays so i'm definately interested in the nature based activities. I want my kids to have a sense of rythym and repetition during the cycle of the year even though we don't base our rythym around man-made holidays. We do a lot of nature based crafts and my favorite wintertime tradition is cutting paper snowflakes, even though we don't see much snow here. (it hasn't showed since 2009)

  11. This looks amazing. We made a spiral last year for a small group we were part of and I think we will do it again this year for our own advent celebration. I'd love to check out the e-book!
