Our moment this week comes from our adventure strawberry picking with our dearest friends! http://ouronesweetfamily.blogspot.com/2011/06/this-moment_17.html
ooo la la! i have been threatening to make one of these but haven't worked up the nerve....or patience! good for you! you will see here that i quite like rainbows!...
Nice! I first saw the rainbow cake on the blog Elsie Marley and thought that it was so beautiful, but also more complicated than I could handle. :) You did such a lovely job. It looks festive and delicious!
Love it! I made a very similar cake for my daughter's birthday a few years ago. It had fewer layers, and I frosted the outside pale, pale blue, and decorated it with fluffy white frosting "clouds". Your photo just reminded of it.
There is a fun tutorial for a "Leprechaun trap" cake - involving a rainbow - that you may like at the site Not Martha: http://www.notmartha.org/archives/2011/03/16/leprechaun-trap-cake/
I made it this year for my daughter's birthday, which is in March. It was a huge hit with the kids!
Well, that looks just yummy! Was it as delish as it looks?
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun cake! How did you do that?!
