This week, find an afternoon or morning, pack up paper, big clip boards, jars of water and paints and head to the park or a local garden. Sit and paint what you see or even what you are just thinking about.
First of all the photos are magical, secondly I feel ashame not having done this yet with my girls, I studied interior design and remember the many times we were sent out and about to draw - why haven´t I thought of this before. It´s getting a bit too chilly over here for this activity but I´ll definately keep this in mind for next summer and who knows I might just join in.
Yes! We love that garden and I have been promising my girls some nature journaling/art time there :)
ReplyDeleteyour girls will love it. we had never done art there - so i was surprised at how much they got into it.

ReplyDeleteit is so simple but something i overlooked too. my kids are outside all day and make a lot of art - but until recently, rarely did both. good luck!
